Introduction

Country Artists are renowned throughout the world for figurines and sculptures of wildlife and animals, birds, country life and much, much more. The company has developed into a master of its craft, all of which are considered highly desirable and collectable.

Country Artists began in 1978, when it was discovered that traditional material could be mixed to form a resin, which was unique for sculpting. Because of this the pieces are given a life-like appearance as this allows the intricate detail, along with the special hand painting to finish with fascinating sculptures that you today know as 'Country Artists'.

Country Artists was originally known as the 'Richard Cooper and Company.' It started with a small range of birds, approx 6 pieces mounted on velvet wall plaques. From this the demand grew and grew and the company expanded and became 'Richard Cooper Giftware Ltd', which in 1987 changed to the now renowned Country Artists.

The Chairman, Richard Cooper, himself ensures that all the detail, colour and decoration of every new sculpture has been researched thoroughly prior to commencement of production of all new work. It is only when he is completely satisfied that work can begin. They use only the finest oil-based paints in order to create for you a finished article which, not only are they proud of, but which they are sure will enhance your home. The painting is a skilful job done entirely by hand and the artists themselves sign a Certificate of Authenticity for each and every model they have decorated. Every model is given a final 'quality control' check before it leaves the studios to ensure that you, the customer will be completely satisfied.

Great care is taken to make sure that all models are carefully packaged to ensure that they will not be damaged in transit. Then and only then are they ready to be given as the perfect gift or, indeed, be added to your own collection.
